The Etevie Community of Ozoro Kingdom has appreciated the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba Wednesday 9th July 2025 for the rehabilitation of one of the community internal roads along the Ozoro daily market.

A delegation from the community, led by the Odio-Ete of Etevie Community, Ozoro, Elder Thomas Uhi, appreciated the Chairman for his foresight in rehabilitating the road which have suffered neglect over the years causing traffic for motorists and other roads users, “saying the entire people of Etevie Community Ozoro are very happy and they promised praying for the Chairman and his administration ” he stated.
Also speaking, Sir Oro Raphael Afemari, former President-General of Ozoro kingdom, noted that the entire community unanimously agreed to visit the Chairman in recognition of the Council’s intervention in rehabilitating their road making it very easy for all road users, and most especially the market women who can now trade their goods and services effectively.
“Our community met and decided it was important to come here and say thanks to you Mr. Chairman for saving us from the public mockery and nightmare that our people have been passing through because of the bad condition of the road over the years” he added .

Furthermore, Sir Afemari made passionate appeal on behalf of Etevie Community Ozoro saying “Like Oliver Twist, we will continue to ask for more, Mr. Chairman, we need intervention in repairing the Ijiamorie bridge that links the community to their farms to ease the transportation of agricultural produce of all farmers.
Responding, Hon. Ogorugba thanked the community for the appreciation visit, describing it as a noble gesture which will inspire him to do more for Isoko North people in consonance with the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Governor of Delta State.
“You’ve done well by coming to appreciate us for rehabilitating the road. We are committed to touching every community across Isoko North, following the leadership example of our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,” Ogorugba stated.
The council Boss also declared that the process of installing barricades beside the market to avoid people trading along the road side will be fully put in place in ensuring free flow of traffic in order to minimize the rate of accidents due to the busy nature of the market on daily basis.
“On the bridge, we will look into what can be done because this government is focused on doing things that bring happiness to our people.” the Council Boss added.

Egemudia Emmanuel, Chairman Etevie Community, Mr. Gospel Adhekegba APC Chairman Ozoro Ward 2, Mrs. Salomi O., the woman leader Etevie Community
The Chairman was joined during the meeting by the Vice Chairman, Barr. (Chief) Evelyn Aluta; Secretary to the Local Government, Barr Vote Umukoro and Supervisor for Environment, Comr. Alebe Joshua Onos.
Others include Special Adviser to the Chairman Comr. Erero Jacob Oloku, Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Barr. Isaiah Omoyibo, DOP to the Chairman Comr. Jude Ogwologho, Media Director to the Chairman, Comr. Ikrumale Monday Gideon among others.
