The Vicar of the Church of Resurrection, Anglican Communion, Rev O.G. Oboduze has charged christians to solely depend on God for survival as there is no other alternative source anywhere.

This charge was made on the second day of the Anglican Youth Fellowship Week held at the church auditorium last Tuesday in Ozoro.

He made the declaration while speaking on the theme “My Help Comes From the Lord” with the text taken from Psalms 121:1-2.

He explained that many of our youths today are running else where to seek for help instead of seeking for God’s help.

“Dear people of God, I assure you that the help we need is not found anywhere but God. Whatever we need to survive in this generation is in the hands of God. Any help that you seek that does not come from God, will not last”.

The clergyman further stated that survival in difficult times is not determined by our background, connection or resources but by the grace of God.

“Yahoo has taken many youths from God. In this generation where many things are happening, we must hold God strong”.

He cited examples from the Bible, including the story of Joseph who was brought from prison to palace, adding that the same grace is available to believers today.

Rev Oboduze also charged the congregation to be steadfast in prayers and to trust God wholeheartedly because God can never disappoint, adding that “Man may fail you but God will never fail you”.

Highlights of the service were rendering of praises, worship and prayers.
