Otuaro Applauds Delta Students’ Global Debate Victory

Former Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Deacon Barrister Kingsley B. Otuaro, has expressed profound pride and admiration for the remarkable feat achieved by Delta students at the prestigious World Schools Debate Championship held in Doha, Qatar.

Speaking passionately, Otuaro described the victory as a shining testament to the transformative power of education. “This is not just a win for Delta State; it is a resounding statement that quality education shapes confident, articulate leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

He commended the students — Wisdom Chukwuma, Otorvo Uyoyou, Abraham Honour, Ekhamateh Splendour, and Alika Daniel — who, after emerging champions at the national debate contest, went on to conquer teams from Chicago and the host country Qatar, sealing the title with a 5–1 aggregate score.

Otuaro also applauded the efforts of the teachers and families whose steadfast support nurtured the students’ skills, noting that such successes flourish in an environment where education is truly valued.

Otuaro also extended warm commendation to the Government of Delta State under the leadership of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, acknowledging that such success is only possible in an environment where education is genuinely prioritized.
