‎2027: Oborevwori Thanks Isoko People for Endorsement, Seeks 5/5 Victory for APC Candidates

By Isaiah Ojo
‎
‎As the 2027 general elections draw closer, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, has once again expressed appreciation to the Isoko people for their endorsement and continued support for his re-election bid.
‎
‎The Governor made this known during a campaign tour of Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area, where he thanked the people for reposing confidence in his administration and supporting his ambition to secure a second term in office.

He described Isoko as his second home, noting that his wife hails from Iyede in Isoko North Local Government Area.
‎
‎Oborevwori also called on the people to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other APC candidates, including Senator Joel-Onowakpo for the Senate, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko for the House of Representatives, Engr. Orobosa Uzuazomaro Ashakah for the Delta State House of Assembly, Isoko North Constituency I, and Hon. (Chief) Frank Ozue for Isoko North Constituency II.
‎
‎According to the Governor, a 5/5 victory for APC candidates would guarantee better representation, effective collaboration and greater developmental achievements at both the Federal and State levels.
‎
‎In his response, the Isoko Local Government APC Campaign Coordinator, Hon. Oviemuno Oghoore, assured the Governor of the people’s support and votes, while acknowledging the contributions of deceased party leaders and stakeholders whose political legacies, he said, continue to inspire the present generation.
‎
‎He declared: “We want to assure you that we will not let you down, and we will make you proud because we are very interested in and happy with your governance. We have confidence in your administration and that of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
‎
‎Oghoore also paid tribute to some of the party’s founding fathers and prominent political figures in Isoko, whose contributions laid the foundation for the political structure being sustained today.
‎
‎”I will not forget some of our ancestors who made this political rally possible and whose legacies we continue to build upon. Their voices still echo in the political arena to this day. Without the likes of Chief Senator Spanner Okpozo, Rt. Hon. Y.D. Igbrude, Chief J.J. Johnny and others, what we are building today would not have been possible,” he added.
‎
‎Also speaking, the Director-General of the Delta State APC Campaign Council, Senator James Manager, urged the Isoko people to reciprocate the Governor’s performance during his first term by voting massively for his re-election and other APC candidates.

He expressed confidence that Oborevwori’s second tenure would deliver even greater results.
‎
‎”The man has done well, and the best way to say thank you is to re-elect him by casting your votes for him and other APC candidates massively,” Manager stated.
‎
‎In his goodwill message on behalf of Isoko elders, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay declared that the entire Isoko nation was united and firmly behind Oborevwori’s re-election ambition.
‎
‎He said: “The 14 clans and 24 wards that make up Isoko land have only one governorship candidate, and that is Sheriff Oborevwori. We are ready for the election, and we will vote for you and Mr. President because we want more good things to happen in this land.”
‎
‎Macaulay further described Oborevwori as a fortunate Governor, citing the increased revenue accruing to Delta State from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) during his administration compared with previous administrations.

He also highlighted the reinstatement of the second House of Assembly seat for Isoko North as another notable development.
‎
‎”You’re a lucky Governor. What previous Governors received from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) is now like peanuts compared with what you receive. Also, during your tenure, the second House of Assembly seat for Isoko North has been reinstated,” he said.
