The Isoko Ideological Class (IIC) – a sociopolitical platform for the propagation of good governance in Delta State and beyond, has lauded the giant strides initiatives of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in different sectors of the State’s economy, particularly the Heath Sector under the leadership of the young and dynamic Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme.

The group in a media parley with a select members of the press on Monday 30th July, 2025, vehemently acknowledged the milestone the MORE Agenda of the State Government had recorded within the two years of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in office.
Briefing the press, the Director General of the group, Amb. Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole commended the Governor for appointing the young Dr. Onojaeme as Commissioner for Health, thereby recounting the significant impacts already made in the Health Sector within the already existed two years of his administration.
Ogheneyole said, Onojaeme who happens to be the Convener of IIC, has procured a multi-billion naira set of cutting-edge medical equipment in a bold step to transform healthcare delivery across the State.

These landmark achievements include; 8 hemodialysis machines, 25 ultrasound scanner which are 4D user-friendly, 2 German-manufactured rugged CT scan machines to be distributed across the three Senatorial Districts in the State with a view to significantly boost diagnostic and treatment capabilities at government-owned health institutions.
Significantly, the Health Commissioner had carried out a revamping of 250 primary healthcare centres across the State from the 441 facilities that exist.
In his efforts to strengthen universal health coverage and sustain health financing through the Delta State Contributory Health Commission, the health insurance scheme in seven years has hit an all time record of 1,995,816 on the enrollment list. However, this was made possible through commendable releases of approved funds by the Governor to the Ministry.
In fighting systemic corruption and drug trafficking within the sector, the Commissioner has been able to restore standards through various medical education and workforce expansions that have discouraged the ‘Japa Syndrome’, weeded off 301 ghost workers from the Ministry’s payroll, drastically fought counterfeiting, fake drugs and unwholesome processed food by sealing off 50 illegal patent medicine stores operating in the State and many others.
Moreover, the group believes that the Governor does not need to dissipate energy in explaining his achievements in the health sector, because his works speak for themselves through the professional efforts of Dr. Joseph Onojaeme. They however, appreciated him for appointing Dr. Onojaeme as Commissioner for Health, insisting that this is a gift to Isoko Nation, being the first time a youth of that ethnic extraction would be appointed into such an exhalted office.
They concluded by affirming that the Honourable Commissioner has indeed made them proud by delivering on mandate, performing exceptionally and playing the politics of inclusion, unity and employment of other youths.
Others who joined Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole in the briefing included the IIC Chairman, Prince Urugbesi Ufuoma, Godstime Ugheghe, Iloloji Oghenemine Emmanuel, Utomudo Fidelis, Umukoro Uzuazomaro, Efenudu Orevaoghene Precious, Utoware Endurance Onoriode, Efedhoma Sunday and Owah Okeoghene Nelson.
