Warri Wolves Football Club yesterday suffered a home defeat as they lost 1-2 to the visiting Shooting Stars Sports Football Club on the Day 6 match played at the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro.

The match which was goalless at the first half came alive in the second half when player 31, Igbimi scored a goal at the 54th minute.
Just when the game was coming to an end, 3SC took a two-goal lead as player 12, Qatar Adegoke scored at the 82nd minute and player 7, Adams Agba’a scored at the 86th minute.
According to Coach Aluma Napoleon of the Warri Wolves, “Tactically, the game was a beating because even though a keeper is going to catch the ball, the defenders are suppose to react.
“A quick reaction would have saved the two situations. But it is still part of the game. You lose some, you win some and you draw some” he added.

However, the Warri Wolves coach congratulated the 3SC team stating that it was a well deserved win.
“A team can win anywhere. With this confidence, I believe we are going to win in our next match against the Barau FC but first, we will correct our flaws before going out to fight”.
Speaking to our correspondent, the 3SC coach, Coach Aweroro Nurudeen said substituting players was part of the game plan.
“Of course every coach would want to win all matches. It was part of the game plan to sub in Adams towards the end of the game.
“I feel so excited. Today we played a strong transition game and we were clinical on the attacks. I’m happy we won”, he stated.
